Pinch A Penny, the largest franchised retail pool supply company, has over 220 stores in the Southeast. Their annual franchise EXPO gathers hundreds of franchise owners and their employees to build unity, and be briefed by industry experts and corporate on franchise strategy in the year to come. Each EXPO registrant can select from many meeting / event options when registering to compile a custom, personalized schedule. Pinch A Penny tapped iDimension to create a mobile web site that would would allow registrants secure login to view their personalized schedule on a smart phone.
iDimension leveraged ColdFusion and mobile jQuery to create a mobile web site that serves the registration data provided by corporate to each individual registrant. Each user authenticates using their mobile number and a PIN they entered when registering. A user’s PIN can be retrieved via SMS delivered to the registration mobile number via the Twilio SMS API. Key event start notices were also delivered to each registrant via SMS throughout the EXPO.
The mobile site offers schedule by day of week, as well as floor maps of the convention center, and a feedback form. Google Analytics tracking was deployed via Google Tag Manager, with custom variables being set for store number and user ID for each authenticated user that accessed the site.
